ISC2’s Cybersecurity Certification (CC) Now Included
Linux Foundation Training and Certification is excited to announce with our partner ISC2, that their Cybersecurity Certification (CC) is now included as an optional certification and digital badge to achieve as part of the Linux Foundation’s Cloud Engineer IT Professional Program at no additional cost. Also added is the optional Certified in Cybersecurity e-Learning course.
“In order to be competitive in today’s IT employment market, every IT professional needs to have, at a minimum, a foundational level of cybersecurity skills,” said Clyde Seepersad, SVP, General Manager, Training & Certification, Linux Foundation. “The CC certification proves to employers someone has these important, fundamental skills.”
The Cloud Engineer IT Professional Program is designed to equip anyone interested in a cloud engineer career with the knowledge and skills to launch their career in as little as six months. The program consists of 5 required courses, 2 required certifications and 1 optional course and certification:
- Linux for Cloud Technicians Essentials
- Linux System Administration Essentials
- Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator (LFCS)
- Containers Fundamentals
- DevOps and SRE Fundamentals
- Kubernetes Fundamentals
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- Certified in Cybersecurity (optional)
- Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) (optional)
The CC certification verifies candidates have skills in the following domains:
- Security Principles
- Business Continuity (BC), Disaster Recovery (DR) & Incident Response Concepts
- Access Controls Concepts
- Network Security
- Security Operations
In addition to the Cloud Engineer IT Professional Program, Linux Foundation Training & Certification also offers three additional IT Professional Programs: Advanced Cloud Engineer, Cloud Native Developer and DevOps. All IT Professional Programs are self-paced and designed to be completed in as little as six months spending 15 to 20 hours per week. In addition to courses and certifications all IT Professional Programs provide:

- Hand-on labs
- A dedicated mentor
- Discussion forums to interact with instructors and fellow students
- A certificate and verifiable badge for the program as well as for each course and certification successfully completed
