A completely updated version of the free course, WebAssembly Components: From Cloud to Edge (LFD134), has been released by Linux Foundation Education and is available for immediate enrollment.
WebAssembly Components: From Cloud to Edge (LFD134) explores the portability, efficiency, and security of WebAssembly modules and how to leverage a number of open source frameworks to create distributed and seamlessly connected actors that can be deployed in a browser, on a laptop, in the cloud, on a Raspberry Pi, or practically anywhere.
“Learning WebAssembly is a game-changer for IT professionals, unlocking the ability to build high-performance, cross-platform applications that run seamlessly in browsers and on servers,” said Clyde Seepersad, SVP, General Manager, Linux Foundation Education. “As demand for fast, efficient and portable solutions grows, mastering WebAssembly sets you apart and opens doors to new roles in cloud, web and edge computing.”
WebAssembly Components: From Cloud to Edge (LFD134) is an 8-hour, self-paced e-Learning course that teaches Rust skills such as creating and hosting WebAssembly modules and explores the JavaScript WebAssembly API for browsers and multiple alternative, non-web host runtimes for WebAssembly. Participants will learn to easily create distributed, cloud native applications using secure WebAssembly modules as a deployment target by leveraging open source projects.
WebAssembly Components: From Cloud to Edge (LFD134) includes access to Linux Foundation Education’s discussion forum, enabling participants to interact with fellow students and subject matter experts. Those that successfully complete the course receive a digital badge.
