Demonstrate Your Argo Project Ecosystem Skills
SAN FRANCISCO (Mar. 5, 2024) – Cloud Native Computing Foundation along with Linux Foundation Training & Certification have launched the Certified Argo Project Associate (CAPA) certification, an associate-level certification designed for engineers, data scientists and others interested in demonstrating their understanding of the Argo Project and GitOps ecosystems.
“The launch of the Certified Argo Project Associate (CAPA) certification represents a significant step in empowering developers and other professionals to demonstrate their proficiency in leveraging the Argo ecosystem,” said Chris Aniszczyk, CTO, CNCF. “This certification not only validates their understanding but also highlights their commitment to staying up to date in a constantly evolving GitOps and cloud native ecosystem.”
Argo Project focuses on Kubernetes-native workflows, simplifying the process of deploying, managing, and securing containerized workloads. Key components and sub-projects of Argo Project include:
- Argo Workflows, which provides a workflow engine for Kubernetes, enabling users to define complex workflows as code.
- Argo CD (Continuous Delivery) is a declarative, GitOps continuous delivery tool for Kubernetes.
- Argo Rollouts is a Kubernetes controller and set of Custom Resource Definitions for advanced application deployment capabilities.
- Argo Events is a Kubernetes-native event-driven system that allows users to trigger responses to events from various sources.

The 90-minute, multiple-choice CAPA exam’s domains are:
- Argo Workflows: 36 percent
- ARGO CD: 34 percent
- Argo Rollouts: 18 percent
- Argo Events: 12 percent
Those who successfully complete the Certified Argo Project Associate (CAPA) certification exam receive a certificate as well as a digital badge.
