Three New Courses Cover GenAI Prompts, AI/ML Intro & RAG
SAN FRANCISCO (Aug. 13, 2024) – Linux Foundation Training & Certification in partnership with RX-M LLC Cloud Native & AI Training and Consulting have announced the launch of three new, one-day, instructor-led, AI-focused courses:
- Generative AI Prompt Engineering (RXM401)
- Machine Learning and AI Introduction (RXM402)
- Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) Introduction (RXM403)
“Each of these topics is in their own way essential for ensuring the successful deployment of AI in business,” said Clyde Seepersad, SVP and General Manager, Linux Foundation Training & Certification. “Whether it’s mastering prompt engineering for generative AI, understanding the foundational principles of machine learning, or delving into the nuanced techniques of Retrieval Augmented Generation, these courses will equip professionals with the skills they need to drive innovation with AI in the workplace.”
“Companies are deploying generative AI tools at a blistering pace, but without training their teams to use the tools effectively,” said Randy Abernethy, Managing Partner, RX-M LLC Cloud Native & AI Training and Consulting. “This is not a formula for success. Teams with the foundational knowledge and hands-on AI skills needed to use these tools effectively will materially outperform their peers. With this first collection of courses, RX-M and the Linux Foundation are working to help people excel as they begin their AI journeys.”
Generative AI Prompt Engineering (RXM401), a one-day, live instructor-led, hands-on course, is designed for anyone interested in using GenAI and will help participants elicit high-quality, effective outputs from GenAI tools that increase productivity. The course includes extensive lab work with ChaptGPT and Stable Diffusion. Course topics include:
- Generative Models Overview
- Prompt Engineering: Text-to-Image Models
- Prompt Engineering Techniques for Large Language Models
- Advanced Prompt Engineering Techniques for Large Language Models
Machine Learning and AI Introduction (RXM402), a one-day, live instructor-led, hands-on course, is designed for developers, data engineers, DevOps and other IT professionals seeking to stay competitive in the ever-evolving field of machine learning. This labs heavy course provides hands-on experience with machine learning libraries and toolkits such as Pandas, NumPy, Seaborn and scikit-learn. Course topics include:
- AI/Machine Learning Overview and Data Processing
- Data Visualization
- Machine Learning Models
- Hyperparameter Tuning
Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) Introduction (RXM403), a one-day, live instructor-led, hands-on course, is designed for ML/AI developers, software and data engineers and other IT professionals working to optimize large language models. The course provides a compact overview of the ways in which LLM output can be optimized by referencing an authoritative knowledge base. Participants will learn how a RAG works and how a RAG is
assembled from component parts. Course topics include:
- LLM Overview
- RAG Overview
- Vector Databases and Embedding
- RAG Techniques and Enhancements
Enrollment is now open for all three courses with multiple sessions running in the Americas time zone starting in late September through early 2025. Those who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate of completion.
