Cloud Native Computing Foundation and Linux Foundation Training and Certification have launched the new course, CI/CD with Tekton (LFS274), designed to give both technical and non-technical professionals the skills to effectively manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) workflows using the Tekton framework.
“Tekton is a powerful resource, enabling faster release cycles, enhanced software quality, and collaboration between development and operations teams,” said Clyde Seepersad, SVP, General Manager, Training & Certification, Linux Foundation. “Tekton knowledge and skills truly make candidates stand out to current and prospective employers.”
CI/CD with Tekton (LFS274) is designed for aspiring and current DevOps Engineers, CI/CD Engineers and Software Developers. It is recommended that participants have familiarity with containerization concepts, YAML syntax and version control systems. A basic understanding of Kubernetes, the software development life cycle and Linux command line operations is also helpful.
“These courses touch on timely topics that help support career growth for anyone that touches modern cloud native CI/CD technology. We are excited to release this new course highlighting Tekton and look forward to people building Tekton pipelines in the near future,” said Chris Aniszczyk, CTO, CNCF.
Through hands-on labs, participants will construct, test and deploy code, setting the stage for advanced CI/CD automation techniques with a strategic perspective. The self-paced, online course has approximately 15 hours of material covering:
Getting Started with Tekton
Installation and Configuration
- Tekton Dashboard Extensions
- Automating Pipeline Execution with Triggers
- Lab Exercises
Those that successfully complete the course receive a certificate of completion and a digital badge.
