Quickly Prove Your Tekton Skill Set
Linux Foundation Training and Certification announces the launch of a new SkillCred, Pipelines with Tekton (SC106). Tekton is a skill in high-demand used as a cloud native solution for building CI/CD pipelines and currently a Continuous Delivery Foundation project.
The Pipelines with Tekton (SC106) SkillCred enables DevOps Engineers, Development Productivity Engineers and Development Platform Engineers to demonstrate their abilities to leverage cloud native tooling that supports continuous delivery workloads running on Kubernetes clusters using Tekton pipelines.
“Continuous integration and delivery is core to the day-to-day operations of tech teams, especially those working in Kubernetes, cloud native environments,” said Clyde Seepersad, SVP, General Manager, Training & Certification, Linux Foundation. “Being able to prove to an employer you have strong Tekton skills, helps your professional profile stand out.”
The Pipelines with Tekton (SC106) SkillCred tests several Tekton competencies including:
- Task and Pipeline Fundamentals
- Reusability of tasks
- Sharing data between tasks using workspaces
- Configuring input parameters
- Configuring and consuming output results
- Error handling
- Task sequencing
- Matrix pipelines
- Debugging and Troubleshooting
- Consuming Secrets, tokens, volumes
- Configuring Tekton behavior and features
SkillCreds are designed to be quick to add to a professional profile with each exam taking approximately 45 minutes. Participants that successfully pass the exam receive a non-expiring credential. The various SkillCreds can be mixed and matched depending on your specific IT role and career goals.
